More Dog Drama

Maybe he's still angry about this costume??
I think I may need to start a Separate Blog all together called: Today Buddy Ate My.....  Because EVERY day when I come home, somethinggggggg will be destroyed.  Its almost kind of like a game now-a-days - I'm like "hmm.. there MUST be a mess somewhere, where oh where could it be" "Oh hooray, trash hidden in the hallway/vomit in the dining room/chewed shoe under the couch"... Seriously, does that sound like a party or what????

Back to the story.  Today when I came home from work, my pill purse...(uh, yes, I have a pill purse so I can carry my daily meds, granny-ish, yes??) So anyway, my purse thingy was on the ground kiiiind of chewed up and my birth control pills and blood pressure medication (granny-ish, yes??), were M I A !  After searching high and low I ended up finding them -- unopened, so we're all good.

Oh, and just in case you're wondering (cough, cough, JILL!) why I don't crate him - its because he is a Vizsla, and he has a lot of energy and it would be cruel to crate him. Plus he gets crated for 5 hours every a.m. and I think thats enough.  That's probably why he tears stuff up to begin with, he's all pissy about being locked up!!  Anyways....until next time. (yes, like, tomorrow.)

Damn Dog.

Who can be mad at this face?

Well today while I was at work, Buddy took the liberty of eating my last two bananas off of the counter.  Seriously, if he wants to do me ANY favors he should really counter surf for junk food, not the healthy stuff!  What was he thinking?!   But anyway, when I walked in the door there was an overwhelming smell of garlic - I figured either the hubs did some cooking today or the bananas must have upset Buddy's tummy and caused some kind of foul smell reaction.  Obviously that doesn't make any sense now, but at the time it seemed feasible.  Anyway, as I made my way into the kitchen I saw that my homemade thank you cards were scattered allllllllllll over the floor (which took me HOURS to make I might add), of course my bananas were gone.  I decided to check the house for vom or diarrhea and found a pretty sick pile of one or the other.  Sooooooooo... I spent the next 10 mins cleaning and gagging and bleaching and gagging and being pissed off.  And gagging just a little more. After that I figured I could FINALLY take a seat on the couch, and what do I find??  An empty jar of garlic onion powder... annnnnd the contents spewed all over the couch.  Hmm... that explains the garlic smell.  Wonder how long THATS going to take to dissipate.

Ahh, FUN TIMES.  I guess I love 'em anyway though.

New Shoes + Bad Dogs Don't Mix

I am happy to report that Tuesday night I treated myself to two fab new pairs of shoes @ DSW.  (The overwhelming shoe kingdom)  I bought some black boots on CLEARANCE (yes m'aam, $27, booyah!) and some camel-colored flats...not on clearance.  Got home, tried both pairs on and was feeling really good about my purchase.

I'm not so happy to report that as I stepped out of the shower that night, I found Buddy chewing up my brand new 2 hour old flats!!!!!!  They were destroyed.  I may have even shed tears!  Why couldn't it have atleast been the clearance shoes?  Buddy has been so good lately (okay, SEMI good) but still... ???  I spanked him w/ what was left of one of the flats (not hard, don't go calling the doggie equivalent to CPS) and not two minutes later he had the shoe in his mouth AGAIN.  Clearly the whoopin' was ineffective.

I tried to figure out how/why such a terrible thing would happen, and I came up with a few reasons:

1.) Its Christmas and I am being punished for selfishly buying myself something when 'tis the season of giving.
2.) Buddy decided that I have enough shoes and didn't need 2 new pairs.
3.) Buddy was hungry. For leather.
4.) Buddy needs more exercise.
5.) I should have put the shoes UP instead of leaving them on the floor.

Hmm - nope, can't find any seemingly good explanations!
